First you need a clutch that will hold all the power, but not too excessive. For street use, you also need a long lasting clutch that has a positive feel, smooth engagement and quiet operation.     PRESSURE PLATES:

    • Heavy Duty Pressure Plate (HD): Clamps load increase of 20% to 50%, Pedal feels stock to moderate, Many SFI Certified to insure safety
    • Sport Pressure Plate (SP): Clamps load increase of 20% to 40%. Pedal feels stock to moderate
    • Xtreme Pressure Plate (XT): Clamps load increase of 50% to 120%, Pedal feels moderate to stiff, Many SFI Certified to insure safety
    • Maxx Xtreme Pressure Plate (XX): Clamps load increase of 70% to 150%, Pedal feels stiff to very stiff, All SFI Certified to insure safety
    CLUTCH DISCS:

    • Modified Disc (MM): Recommended for Street or occasional Race, Quicker engagement, Quiet operation, Improved friction material and/or hub strength
    • Performance Disc (SS): Recommended for Street and Race, Quicker engagement, Quiet operation, Best organic friction material, improved hub and burst strength
    • Solid Hub (4 Pad) Disc (R4): Recommended for Drag and Road Racing, Increased torque capacity, Fastest shifts, low inertia, Good durability but shortened spline life, Harsh engagement, chatter. Not recommended for street use.
    • Solid Hub (6 Pad) Disc (R6): Increased torque capacity, Faster shifts, reduced inertia, Very good durability but shortened spline life, Absorbs more heat than 4 pad, Harsh engagement, some chatter. Not recommended for street use.
    • Spring Centered (4 Pad) Disc (G4): Recommended for Road Racing, Increased torque capacity and spline life, Good durability and spline life, Quiet operation, reduced driveline shock, Very harsh engagement, chatter
    • Spring Centered 6 Pad Disc (G6): Recommended for Road Racing and high power Street, Increased torque capacity and spline life, Very good durability and good spline life, Quiet operation, reduced driveline shock.
    • Street Solid Disc (SD): Recommended for Street and Race, Quicker engagement, Quiet operation, Best organic friction material, solid hub.
